We welcome children as visitors to Noakes Grove (as long as they bring an adult with them or are 13+).

The only organised events we can offer during the corona virus restrictions are Wild Child groups for five children at a time age 6-9. See Wild Child details

At present, there are few other organised events - just the opportunity to bring the children from your household to enjoy a walk through the reserve.

Once lockdown is lifted, we will be able to restart the organised events described below. Keep you fingers crossed and your pecker up.

Birthday parties - no bookings accepted until we know lockdown has ended

If you are planning a birthday party for your youngster, what about an outdoor party at Noakes Grove?

These will usually involve a wildlife activity (pond-dipping or bug-hunting for example), an adventure game (like den building and trying to capture the other team's den), camp-fire cooking of your own meal and an entertainment (a puppet-show perhaps). We arrange the programme to suit the age-range of the children and what you tell us about their interests.

The cost is £120 for up to ten children and £10 for each extra child up to a maximum of sixteen.

For full details see our children's party page. Or contact Emma Horton - emmylou.horton@gmail.com

Relaxation and Mindfulness Retreats

At the Retreat we teach relaxation and mindfulness by encouraging children to use their senses in a fun and interactive way.  Children are guided by their innate love for the natural world. The retreat will enable children to learn lifelong skills towards good health and wellbeing. Together we will create a relaxing story that can be used at home benefiting the whole family.

Home schooling

That's what all children are doing now. You are welcome to bring your kids, do some bug hunting or pond-dipping and write stories and poems about what they find.

If you contact us in advance we can probably loan you some nets and other wildlife study equipment. Email david@organic-countryside.co.uk

The organised home-schooling groups will restart after lockdown ends.
