Buy your share of Noakes Grove now!
but please read the details of what you are buying (see "what am I buying") first!
- The ORGANIC COUNTRYSIDE COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY lets anyone buy a share in the countryside: to
be farmed organically for the benefit of the environment and the
local community. Find out more about Organic Countryside CIC
- Legally what exactly am I buying? You become the legal owner of the land but that does not mean you can do what you like with it. You are buying it to ensure that it is protected for ever as organically farmed countryside and the land carries a covenant (agreement) that you will allow your land to be farmed organically by Organic Countryside CIC on behalf of you and all the other owners of the land. You can also choose to buy up to one share in Organic Countryside CIC for each one sq metre of land you buy: that means you can have a direct say in how the company is run. Bear in mind that a CIC (community interest company) does not exist to make a profit for its shareholders - your investment is safeguarding the land, what you are buying is a right to visit the land, to be given first refusal of the food it produces (at a fair market price and with equal rights for all other owners of the land) and the knowledge that your are protecting a beautiful piece of countryside. If you also choose to buy one or more shares in the company you will have a share in the control of how your land is farmed. Shares cost £1 each and can be sold back to the company for £1 should you ever choose to do so.
- How do I pay? We'd like you to pay by cheque or online bank transfer (it saves us bank charges and gives you a chance to read the "small print" and be certain you want to buy before you pay us anything). Just fill in this form online (it commits you to nothing and we will reserve the land you are interested in buying for 14 days from when you submit the form). Within a day or two of submitting the form, we will contact you by email.
